Our 5 star Instructor Development Center (IDC) was the first dive shop established on Malapascua and continues to lead the pack with excellent service, local knowledge and PADI education. As the only 5 star IDC center we offer an array of dive courses from the basic beginner to the professional instructor level. We are also the only National Geographic dive center on the island and are pleased to be able to offer the exclusive National Geographic Open Water Course and Specialty Course.
Being the dive shop that first located and dived with thresher sharks we thought it only right to be the first to create a PADI distinctive specialty course to help educate people about thresher sharks, why they are here, the problems they face and of course to help explain cleaning stations and the importance they play on a reef. Our distinctive specialty was accepted by PADI in November 2007 and we are proud to have certified many Thresher Specialists already.
Exo-Tec was the first technical diving facility on Malapascua. Established in 2005, we are proud to offer an array of PADI DSAT technical courses, allowing you to dive beyond recreational limits. Learn about gas blending, extended decompression dives and accelerated decompression stops. Dive on the famous Pioneer Wreck as part of the Tec Deep course, this pristine hardly dived wreck is too deep for recreational diving but a perfect DSAT technical dive.
In 2008 we were proud to host our first Instructor Development Course. As the only 5 star IDC on Malapascua we offer small all inclusive instructor courses. We will arrange everything for you including accommodation, food, transfers and required PADI materials, leaving you to concentrate on the start of your new career. Our aim is not to mass produce instructors, instead we offer exclusive small course only 6 times a year. Check out the IDC packages that we are offering for 2009.
